One additional question.

Is there a way to make a layer that ends the Color balance so that the layes beneath doesent recive the effect?

Explanation:

----------------------------
Color Balance Layer
----------------------------
Normal Layer (with color balance)
----------------------------
Color Balance Layer (that ends the effect)
----------------------------
Normal Layer (wihtout color balance)
----------------------------

Kinda goofy way to ask sorry about that but my english is poor :p

Very nice toturial indeed!

BUT, im a amature in photoshop and i dont understand step 4.
I can change the blending mode “linear light” and drop the opacity to 80% and it works fine but i dont understand how to add the layer mask.

Do i place the picture as a layer or is the picture just a illustration?

I use CS5 and have the add layer mask option, Ill be grateful for any help given.

Thanks

For the guys who have problems on step5. i think the tutorial is a bit fuzzy on that part as i myself also had some problems there.

what you guys who have this problem has done is to go "Image -> adjustments -> color balance"

when the way the tutorial creator meant is "layer -> new adjustment layer -> color balance"

I also got the problem with the cloud overlay becoming like a "box". anyway, awesome tutorial.

best regards, aztyx

@wisemonk: the color balance layer is an image adjustment layer added on top of the cloud layer. the colour adjustment was not applied on the cloud layer. Also check the blending mode of the cloud layer - it must be set to "Pin Light" and opacity to 50%.

Hope this helps

@DJniki4: hi there, with step 5, just add a new image adjustment layer (color balance) according to the settings shown in those screenshots.

In saying that, If you use an earlier version of Photoshop, then you won't have this feature.

Hope this helps.

On Step4 when I use the cloud render, the text just turns white instead of the cloud. Why is it doing this?
