Is there a way to make a layer that ends the Color balance so that the layes beneath doesent recive the effect!!

One additional question.

Very nice toturial indeed!

BUT, im a amature in photoshop and i dont understand step 4.
I can change the blending mode “linear light” and drop the opacity to 80% and it works fine but i dont understand how to add the layer mask.

Do i place the picture as a layer or is the picture just a illustration?

I use CS5 and have the add layer mask option, Ill be grateful for any help given.
